Continuing the series of ultraportable notebooks, Asus has released its latest ultraportable luxury notebook, the U2 ultraportable. It weighs a mere 2.75 lbs and has an 11.1 inch screen. The processor is Intel Core Duo ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) with Intel GM965 Express Chipset. This notebook has low power consumption and features a 4GB RAM. The users have the option of a 120GB hard drive or 32GB solid state drive. Asus has included a fingerprint reader and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to enhance security. The in built webcam performs a face detection scan of the rightful owner to grant access. It features Windows Vista OS but its price and availability are not yet confirmed.
